Apps

Apps are ready-made capabilities, curated and maintained by lensless, with all the expert settings baked in. Where building a Flow by hand means choosing step types, wiring references, and tuning parameters, an app needs none of that: pick it, provide its inputs, run.

Using an app

From the gallery. Open Apps in your dashboard sidebar. Each card explains what the app does, what it needs, and what a run typically costs. Create flow gives you a working Flow with the app as its only step and the app’s inputs already on the form — use Test run in the editor to run it immediately, or publish it like any other Flow.

From the flow editor. Add an App step from the step picker. Its required inputs are added to your Flow’s form automatically. To chain apps — say, feed a Person Learner model into Themed Portraits — change an input’s source in the step body from its form field to an earlier step’s result.

How apps behave

  • Expert settings are managed for you. Training hyperparameters, prompt scaffolding, and model choice live inside the app. When lensless improves them, your Flows benefit on their next run — no edits needed.
  • Billing is transparent. An app expands into ordinary steps when a run starts, and you’re billed exactly as if you’d built those steps yourself. The typical-cost note on each card is a guide, not a quote.
  • Everything is still a Flow. A Flow created from an app can be renamed, given a custom look, published on your domain, and priced — the app is just its engine.

For the step-level reference (definitions, rewiring inputs, results), see the App step documentation.
